I'm not completely sure what "anything" you're referring to, but OS-level settings aren't something that can be controlled from within HipChat. That must be done from the appropriate system-level preferences/settings dialogs depending on which style of operating system you're on.
HipChat does offer a number of customization options depending on how you prefer to use it, though! You can see some examples like changing between light and dark mode and other settings on our help documentation.
