The HipChat app on my PC consistently fails to load. I open the app, it tries and tries to load, it gives me the "Couldn't load HipChat" error message, I hit the Try Again button and get the same result. I've had this issue on and off for months, but typically the Try Again button would work on the 3rd or 4th try. Now it never works at all.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. It works once or twice then stops working again.
I can use the browser-based version. It's just not as convenient, especially since the shortcut keys I like to use don't seem to work there. (e.g., Control-T to pull up a private conversation with a coworker or small group) I really want to use the PC app, but I'm not sure how to get it working!
By the way, my Java version is outdated, and it has to be that specific older version to work with our student software. However, everyone else in my offices uses the same version and has no trouble with HipChat. That doesn't seem to be the source of the problem, then.
