We are in process of merging four disparate Atlassian environments into one single DataCenter stack (all current releases). A couple of these environments used HipChat, but we are no longer going to be using HipChat in the new environment.
Are there any issues, or things to be aware of in completely removing HipChat integration from the new Atlassian Stack, after we import all our data into it?
Ideally, removing the Hipchat integrations before exporting the data would be best. It is possible that if the integrations remain in place after moving to the new stack, it could potentially raise error messages if you tried to remove them afterwards (since the server would try to contact the non-existent Hipchat instance). If you do face issues of this kind, please contact our support team and we'll assist in removing any dead links.
