I'm attempting to use a JIRA Directory for HipChat authentication, but I receive
Connection test failed. Response from the server:
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
Both JIRA and HC servers are using SSL, and I can add the HC server as an application in JIRA (under JIRA user server) – I did add HC's certs to JIRA's JRE and keystore.
I'm guessing HC needs the JIRA cert added to its keystore, but not sure how to do that. I didn't want to use the SSL Configuration thinking that's only for HC.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

My fault. I didn't see an error with importing the JIRA cert to the HC keystore. Once I did that, the connection works as expected!!!
