There isn't a way to do that. You need to add AD integration in HipChat Server and run synchronisation before AD users are copied over to the server and are allowed to authenticate against the server. Note that we do not store or check external directory passwords on HipChat Server. Everything is passed away from the server and we just receive a response from the directory. As such, user passwords need to be reset in the external user directory - HipChat Server's password reset functionality will not work.
