/away when locking workstation

Our company, like many others, requires people to lock their workstations when leaving their desk. My dev team has an additional policy that we must "/away" when leaving our desks. So the process is:

1) Set focus to the HipChat app

2) Enter "/away"

3) Lock the workstation

Wouldn't it be cool if the HipChat application could automatically do an "/away" when you lock your workstation?
