Does Atlassian have a backend SMS to API gateway, maybe with Twilio, we can use by merely configuring the JIRA we already have without adding another vendor to the mix? I realize JIRA can be configured to use a third party API to SMS gateway like BulkSMS for outbound SMS notifications, and we would need to enter our BulkSMS credentials in JIRA but I am not seeing anything about inbound interactions with JIRA that begin with an SMS message from a user. I understand this would require an SMS to API gateway and I hope Atlassian already has this.
The use case driving this is some of our users prefer SMS more than other mediums. There is a significant population out there that doesn't use email or apps much and relies almost exclusively on SMS for transmitting information. Enterprises need to interact with this population.
