Our users can not delete their own chat messages. Under Group Admin> Settings the action "All users (only their own messages)" is active.
In the chat we only get the message "no action available"
What do we do now?
Messages cannot be deleted from the client.
Instead, the end user needs to log into the HipChat web interface (by logging into the HipChat address in their browser), then select either 'Rooms' or 'People' (depending on where the message they want to delete is stored).
Next, select a room or person, then select 'History' on the left sidebar and search for the message (or use the date picker).
Finally, find your message you want to delete and then click the 'x' beside it to delete it. Note: any file attachments tied to that message will also be deleted.
You can read more about message deletion here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/hipchat/delete-messages-and-files-751698289.html
Hope this helps!
