Is there any way possible to export an (empty) form template from ProForma (on a Jira DC version where it isn't bundled yet) and import it on another instance?

A client of ours has created a form template in a test/acceptance environment and would now like to export the form template for import on the production environment.

Hi, Dave. I personally haven't copied forms across sites on different Jira Server instances, but I suppose that you can try at least 3 things:

  • copy the form from the WYSIWYG editor from site A to site B: see this comment
  • use the Configuration Manager for Jira app: see this support article and this comment
  • copy the JSON from the JSON tab from site A to site B, maybe you'll need to edit it before using it on site B

Please share what worked for you.
