Remove Fisheye and Crucible

Chris Miller February 16, 2016

Running RHEL 5.10 (x32) and we have Fisheye and Crucible running on it and we want to remove both.

I've looked under /opt/fecru-2.3.1/bin and don't see a way to remove either one.  I was successful in stopping Fisheye.

Can anyone help here?

thanks

In order to uninstall you have to remove:

  • home directory containing FishEye/Crucible binaries - in your case it seems to be /opt/fecru-2.3.1
  • instance directory containing FishEye/Crucible data ($FISHEYE_INST) - in case you did not set it, it will be the same as home
  • database - in case you had an external database set up

I'm not an expert by any means, but I just struggled through an upgrade of Crucible.  I found that even after installing the new version, the Windows Service still existed, and referred to the old installation.  I followed the instructions I found at How to Geek to remove the service.
