Feedback on Jira Email Plugin

I use this tool often. It's useful for bug and task tracking without having to bounce between websites.
Two major features that I feel are missing:
Cannot assign myself to an issue I just created. I have to open it in Jira to assign myself.
I have to navigate to the reply and then search the issue I just created to insert a WMP link rather than just being able to immediately generate/insert it from the sidebar.

Some other things I want:
Ability to restrict email content to certain replies only.
Option to link to the email via google groups so other people tracking the issue can view the email directly.
Ability to allow users to see a Jira task even if they do not have an account. I develop closely with the genetic counselor/curation team and they are interested in feature tracking. They should be able to see the issue I just posted with the link I send to the email chain.
Being able to set a default project - we have two teams (portal and internal) and I only work on internal. I don't want to select internal every time I'm creating an issue.
