Very excited about the latest set of fixes that rolled out yesterday. Notes courtesy of our intrepid dev, Liam Campbell. Thanks Liam!
- New feature: Advanced search! New sorting and filtering options make it easier to find exactly what you're looking for. If you need an answer, you'll find it faster; if you're a frequent contributor, you can count on your content reaching the people who need it.
- Improved: Community champions and moderators now have a better interface for moving and recategorizing posts, with an autocompleting list of categories and automatic re-tagging. Most of you won't directly see this, but making moderators' lives easier makes all our lives easier.
- Improved: The CSS controlling the layout of lists of collections has been improved and simplified. A very lucky few of you might have noticed display bugs there, but they should now be gone.
- Improved: The post editor now preserves text markup when cutting and pasting.
- Fixed: Adding a reply used to fail sometimes if you had the reply editor open for a while, which meant that people writing the most in-depth answers faced this bug the most. Sorry, folks.
- Fixed: Clicking on an item in a list of a user's recent activity now takes you directly to their post, rather than just dropping you off at the thread in which it appears.
- Fixed: Extra-long thread titles can no longer break the layout of a user's recent activity list.
High-priority things we are working on:
- The ability to subscribe to a search
- Improvements to the create flow
I also ran into a bug trying to post this as an article, so it is a discussion instead. Following up on this bug right now!
