Moose Hide Campaign: Standing up against violence toward women and children
On February 24, be part of the Moose Hide Campaign, a grassroots movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous men and boys who are standing up against violence toward women and children.
On this day, across the country, Indigenous and non-Indigenous men and boys will be wearing a moose hide patch, fasting or both to signify their commitment to honouring, respecting and protecting the women and children in their lives and to working together with other men to end violence against women and children.
Indigenous women are three times more likely than non-Indigenous women to experience domestic violence or be killed by someone they know.
One of the most important things that you can do to help end violence against women and children is promote gender equity, healthy relationships and positive ideas of masculinity by speaking out against gender-based violence
