Accessibility in Canada is about creating communities, workplaces and services that enable everyone to participate fully in society without barriers. The  Act to Ensure a Barrier-free Canada (Accessible Canada Act) was recently adopted (June 2019).

A major supermarket chain in New Zealand has introduced quiet hours in all stores (they started as a pilot the rolled it out.

Rather than telling people they could use the online shopping and delivery service and considering that their job done, and extra effort has been made to be inclusive. Participating in day-to-day life is more than just the outcomes of having food, shelter, etc.

Thanks for sharing Kat, such a great initiative for inclusion. The grocery stores here in PEI also offer the sensory experience -every Tuesday evening in partnership with Autism PEI, and the times I have shopped there it has such a different vibe. The energy feels calmer, it's quieter and you don't see people rushing around in the same day.
