hi Community,

This is just to share an Script to copy comments and attachments between linked issues (relates-to) . I want to mention this is to be used in a Script Listener and it works with the "Issue Commented" event.

I also would like to mention :

- it's a code that should be improved

- might not be the most efficient code BUT it works

- the reason why I evaluate extensions in the content of the comment is because I need to know somehow if it is just a comment or a comment with an attachment.

- I share the link to github because I think it's easy to read.

That's it. I hope you find it useful.

Hi @ignaci0s

I'm working as a pre-sales engineer with Exalate.

Automatically copying comments and attachments between two issues is the bread and butter of sExalate.

The ticket/epic/story (any type) will out-of-the-box be fully bi-directionally syncronized, which means, if a field gets updated on either side, it will automatically update on the other side, you can change this to make it uni-directional if you so please.

Exalate is easy and straightforward to set-up and you can control exactly which data you want to send and/or receive.

If you would like to see a customized demo of the product, please book a slot with us.

Cheers

Mathieu Lepoutre
