Configure Crowd with external LDAP to authenticate BitBucket

Siva Polamarasetti December 6, 2017

I am trying to configure external LDAP to Authenticate BitBucket user, that means I will use userID/Password of LDAP user. I am not supposed to set password in Crowd. But Crowd is not allowing to add user without setting password. How to configure Crowd without having set the password, just use password which is already been set in LDAP directory.

I understand you want to connect Crowd to LDAP and authenticate Bitbucket users via Crowd. You will need to set up an LDAP directory in Crowd and a Crowd User Directory in Bitbucket.

To pull the LDAP user into Crowd, please follow: Adding a Directory

To connect BitBucket to Crowd, please see this guide: External user directories - Crowd

Please let us know any follow up questions.
