www redirect

Eric Nielsen June 18, 2013

I need to force my confluence installation to use the www prior to the site, ex. www.mysite.com as opposed to mysite.com. We have a wildcard security certificate that doesn't include the base domain, so we have to have the www or we get security errors.

How can I redirect my confluence installation?

Thank you

Hi, what you should do is change the A record on the DNS to point your Confluence IP to www.mysite.com instead of mysite.com and redirect mysite.com to www.mysite.com. Then change the Confluence base URL to href="http://www.mysite.com%20">www.mysite.com to reflect this.

Without doing this, your wildcard would still break.
