where are the export to pdfs saved

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Export Content to Word, PDF, HTML and XML

I've exported Confluence files to pdf but do not know where Confluence is saving them

Looks like browser issue and you are not getting link to open the export.

Try Chrome or Mozilla for the export and I think that should be helpful. Please let me know if you have any other question.

Confluence saves exported PDFs to the Downloads folder that is specified for your browser. On a Windows machine that folder is defaulted to C:\Users\[username]\Downloads, unless you've changed your browser settings to save downloads somewhere else.
