strange email addresses: confluence@<myinstance>.atlassian.net

ta_atlassian January 11, 2022

Hello together,

I hope you can help me...some of me MAC users reported that they have strange user email addresses within their Outlook client like: username (confluence) confluence@<myinstance>.atlassian.net.

Where does those come from, and how can I disable it. If you send a mail to such address, you will get n NDR back...so its not a big deal, but since the Mail Client is not showing the (confluence) part be default, users might send their stuff to those "wrong" accounts.

Thanks!

@ta_atlassian welcome to Confluence Cloud!

When a user updates a page that is being watched, the email with the updated content will be sent exactly as you stated - <User_Name> (Confluence) from confluence@mail-us.atlassian.net.
