"$error" codes show in the Move Page dialog when trying to move a page tree to a personal space.

jaredleonmorgs May 26, 2019

I'm getting some unusual behaviour when trying to move a page tree (parent and its children) from a regular space to a personal space (that isn't my own).

I'm getting these `$error` messages showing when I try to move the parent page, and I can't work out why this would be happening.

I know I have move permissions between the source space and the destination space because I moved items to it moments before encountering this error.

I have logged out and back in again, but the problem persists.

My Confluence version is Server 6.15.4

I've worked it out through trial and `$error`. :P

It seems that the Move Page modal handles page title conflicts really terribly from a UX perspective.

I tried to copy the pages from the source space to the personal space and got this much better error message.

We encountered the same issue when moving pages between global spaces.  I have created the following support request.
