"Update Status" does not appear in the menu when you are non-admin user

Hello there,

We are using Confluence 4.2.1. When you are not an admin user, the "update status" doesn't appear in the menu after clicking your user name on a Confluence page.

We have checked the plugin for this feature is enabled.

Is there anyone who got similar experience?

Regards,

Daisuke Niwa

There is a specific permission to control whether users can use status updates or not. I think that by default, it is set that nobody can use it. It will work for admins only, as obviously an administrator has full permissions to do anything.

To grant other users permission to use the feature, go to /admin/permissions/globalpermissions.action

You can grant permission to all users, users in specific groups, or individual users as you like.
