"Link to epic" option is missing if working with a next-gen Jira project Edited

With classic Jira projects it was always possible to create an epic in Confluence and then create Jira issues from the same document linking them automatically to the Epic:

But it is impossible if working with a next-gen Jira project. I still can create Jira issues from my confluence document, but the "link to epic" option is missing.

Any solution here?

Thank you for raising this with us. This is a known issue, and we've logged it below:

• CONFCLOUD-65046 Link to Epic option is not showing when creating issues within Confluence for Next-Gen Projects

There is no known workaround at this time, but please subscribe to the bug to be informed of one in the future, should things change.
