Hi

I have Confluence version 3.3 installed.

When ever I try and access the Plugin Repository - menu option

the following error displays -

Caching failed [retry or go offline]

Is this normal..

hi there!

I was looking into some old cases and this was related to a old bug corrected last year. I believe now should be working :)

Anyway, additionally you can shutdown Confluence and remove the plugin cache folders to force confluence to rebuild the plugin repository as well.

Please see here for the details: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/How+to+Clear+Confluence+Plugins+Cache

I hope this helps!

This can also be caused by some web filter in front blocking the communication between confluence and the web.
