pasting text containing colons creates inaappropriate link

Confluence 5.3.1. Pasting plain text containing foo:bar results in the text being tagged with an a href="http://foobar" that I have to unlink. Is there some way to prevent that? This is fairly common in the source and command-line stuff I document.
