Looks like you've encountered a bug with the latest Ondemand release (AOD-6822). Support can apply a workaround for you, but a restart of your instance is necessary for the changes to take effect.
Confluence will be unavailable for about 15min during that time but you can schedule maintenance to occur to non-business hours to reduce any impact to your users.
Note: I believe this only appears to be an issue with Confluence OnDemand. JIRA OnDemand is not affected AFAIK.
