importing data from wiki to confluence 6.5

we are exploring confluence..to move our existing media wiki sites onto confluence..we have confluence 6.5 installed., 

 

can someone help us with the available options to move data from wiki to confluence 6.5..some of the doc says., I need to use Atlassian API's which may take time for us to read and understand.

 

Please advise
