how to modify login behavior in confluence Edited

hi All,

I am completely new to confluence and I got requirement to extend the login functionality like when ever any new user trying to login then we need to create an event and that event should take care of adding permissions to that user. So, I should able trigger my own event and it should user information as well to that event. I am not getting, how to start development. if any one have idea please explain in detail way.

Thanks  in Advance,

Sreenu Narra.

When users are updated, Confluence fires an "event".  With some code, you can write a "listener" that can pick up events and act on them.

Start at https://developer.atlassian.com/server/confluence/event-listener-module/ - there are also guides to getting started with development in the sidebar.
