Is there some way to set the page tree in the Confluence 4.0 Documentation theme to be expanded to the first or second level by default?
Hallo Robert
Yes. The Documentation theme uses the Page Tree macro, and uses the default settings for that macro. You can configure the theme to use the Page Tree macro with your own parameters defined.
Here is the documentation on how to configure the Documentation theme. You will need to deselect the 'Page Tree' check box then add your own page tree in the 'Navigation' text box:

Here is the documentation for the Page Tree macro, showing how to use the "Start Depth" parameter for the macro:

I hope this answers the question. :)
Cheers, Sarah
Thanks. Is there documentation for the wiki markup somewhere? I had to edit a page, insert a Page Tree macro, and set the start depth to figure out what I needed to add to the theme configuration. I also want it to sort the page tree by "position" and it's not clear to me how to add the second parameter.
