hide the page tree in navigation programmatically

Hello,

I create spaces in Confluence programmatically and now i like to hide the page-tree in the navigation bar.

I think there is the com.atlassian.confluence.plugins.ia.service.SidebarService which can get and set the Option. I don't have the sources to understand which parameters the getOption needs.

Can anyone help or is there an other better solution?

Thanks

Hi Stephan,

Thank you for contacting us about this. I'm happy to try and help you with this.

It's possible to hide the page tree via the UI, can you help and explain the motivation behind hiding it programmatically? Why might you require this? Are you looking to hide it for all users, or only specific ones? Would this be across all spaces, or only certain spaces?

Thank you for your help!

Regards,

Shannon

Hello,

thank you for your reply. Yes i know the possibility to hide the page tree via the UI. But my intention is to do this during space creation process. We defined blueprints to create different spaces. Instead of the page tree we show two different page tree using the page tree macro vie the content look and feel settings. this makes the standard page tree unnecessary. so i need to disable the page tree after the space was created.

According to the possibility to disable the page tree via the UI i think there must be a Service- or Manager-Class, that i can use to do this in my space creation plugin.

Regards

Stephan

Hi Stephan,

Thank you for clarifying that for me. I understand now, you want the pages to automatically be hidden upon space creation, is that right?

I would recommend raising this as a question on our Developer Community, as the members there might have a better idea of how to do to this using the method you require.

Regards,

Shannon
