confluence.rpc.auth.TokenAuthenticationInvocationHandler

Francis Vittini June 15, 2017

Hi Everyone!,

I was reviewing my confluence.log file and found several entries on it that drew my attention.

The below line was repeated multiple times on the log.  Like in 1 second maybe 20 times, some of them with the same user and other with another user.

INFO [http-nio-8090-exec-2] [confluence.rpc.auth.TokenAuthenticationInvocationHandler] invokeAuthenticatedMethod Executing remote API method [ getPage ] as user [ s5989069 ]

Is this some kind of automatic action a confluence user is doing to access Confluence?

I searched this on the web and couldn't find anything.  If this is some kind of automatic way a user is trying to use to access confluence, i'd like to know if this can be restricted/avoided.  I would not want to have a user flooding my confluence instance with access requests.

Have anyone seen this before, or can explain what is this method?

Thanks.

It looks like the remote API is being used. To disable it, go to Confluence Administration>Further Configuration as shown:
