confluence cloud and server, different documentation

dileep kumar April 7, 2020

I am very new to Atlassian Confluence.

Between cloud and server versions, my understanding of difference is only business usecase and thus the setup infrastructure. Functionally they are same. Please correct me if i am wrong. In this case why are there different documentations and developer guide.

Cloud -

https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/confluence/

https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/confluence/rest/

Server -

https://developer.atlassian.com/server/confluence/

https://developer.atlassian.com/server/confluence/confluence-server-rest-api/

https://docs.atlassian.com/ConfluenceServer/rest/7.3.4/#api

https://docs.atlassian.com/ConfluenceServer/javadoc/7.3.4

Still not sure... what is below for...

https://docs.atlassian.com/atlassian-confluence/2.7/

Is it different from https://docs.atlassian.com/ConfluenceServer/javadoc/7.3.4

Hi @dileep kumar

Features were same long back but not anymore. They are still very similar but not same hence 2 separate documentations.
