confluence: After 3.1 to 4.2.1 upgrade: Large documents have large "wiki markup" section, document did not migrate

samjones6 May 8, 2012

Migrated from 3.1 to 3.5 to 4.2.1 today

What do I do about large docs that do not migrate to new editor?

Large chunks of wiki markup....

Thx!

Hi samjones6 ,

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Migration+from+Wiki+Markup+to+XHTML-Based+Storage+Format

1) Storage format got to be change to xhtml.

2) you need to upgrade your macros [code ] to xhtml.

https://developer.atlassian.com/display/CONFDEV/Upgrading+and+Migrating+an+Existing+Confluence+Macro+to+4.0

3) What kind of implementation you have done for pages based on that it will give you xml or "ac" tags related errors.

xhtml combines xml with cDATA and html.

you need to update your plugins and then upgrade data.

thank's.
