confluence 4.3.2 upgrade issues

I have issue with people search plugin after upgrading confluence from 3.5 to 4.3.2

Variable(username) in velocity template is not substituted with value.

Usually this error happens, when Confluence is doing the reindex, but it's just a matter of time to the search "be back online".

When I click on my name from My favourite spaces in the Dashboard, I get the error (No Image Available User doesn't exist in LDAP ($username) ) but if I look for my name from the people search box, I don't see any issues.

In the Atlassian log I see the following
