can we restrict confluence permissions

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Manage users and groups

Can we restrict users in Confluence to only view particular sections and provide comments.

You can manage user/group permissions by clicking on the 'manage permissions' link from the desired space:


After that, you can enter a page in a space and click on the lock icon so that you can limit a page's Edition or View permissions to certain user/s or group/s. In doing so, you will also apply the same restrictions to child pages.
