Writing to MySQL Database

I was wondering if there is a way that you can have a form to WRITE to a MySQL database? I currently am using Bob Swift Atlassian Add-ons - SQL (Pro Edition) addon and want to be able to write to a database.

Do you mean a Confluence database, or another application? (If it's an Atlassian app, then the rule is "don't write to the database, use the API")

I have a separate database that holds information that I want displayed, but I also want to be able to edit the database from within Confluence. Basically be able to write to it.
