Why is my graph rendered so differently in edit mode as it is in published mode ?

I'm using the graphics widget on a confluence page to show some data in a pie chart.
I have initialized the data with a table and I'm pretty happy with the result.

But once I save my changes I notice that the rendering of the graphics I see in edit mode is not at all what I get when I save my changes.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong ? Is this a bug ?

I'm using this on Firefox 126.0.1.

Hi @Diego Tercero _Rf_

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I tried in both Chrome and Firefox but I couldn't replicate the issue at all.

The only difference I saw between your screenshot and my test, is that it seems your table and chart are inside something called "Graphique".

Could you confirm what macro you are using that the table and chart are within?

And if you add the table and then generate a chart outside of the macro or even on a new page, does the error still happen?

Regards,
Jessica

Hello Jessica, thanks for your help.
The macro I used is the one I get when I insert something called "graph". In my french edition the widget I want is this one that is called "Graphique".

When I insert this, the Graphique widget is composed of two parts : a data sheet where I enter my data and the graph that I chose to be a pie chart.

The Datasheet and the graph subesctions within the Graphique widget each have their own options. Here's a view of the options on the graph subpart.

The master graph widget has many options that I mostly ignored as shown in this screenshot. But maybe ther's one of the options over there that has something to do with the way that my pie is rendered with just the Total of all my pies.

Thank you for the clarifications, @Diego Tercero _Rf_

The pie chart I added wasn't through the macro, but actually generating it through the table options:

insert_chart_from_table.png

By just clicking on the table and then clicking on the option "Insert chart" as in the image above, that should automatically add a chart for your based on the information in the table.

If you think this would be easier to add a Chart this way, please consider using this one instead of the macro. :)

About the Graphique or Chart macro, it seems it is trying to render only the column "Nombre" because it would only work with the heading in columns instead of rows.

For example, here is a table of how a pie chart would work with the chart macro, following the example in our documentation:

community_chart_column.png

Let me know if that works!
If you would like to leave your table as it is now though, please try the insert a chart from the table option I mentioned above, as it should work the way you have inserted the table now.

I hope this helps, but let me know if we can help. :)

Cheers,
Jessica
