Why does the "Create Issue" popup not appear when I select text in a dynamic content macro?

I can understand why inline comments might be challenging for a dynamic content macro in Confluence (see: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Inline-comments-not-working-for-content-created-with-macros/qaq-p/1231153)

However, why when I highlight text does the "Create Issue" or "Define" popup not appear. It seems like that should be possible from a Dynamic Content Macro.

@Mark Halvorson welcome to the Atlassian community

I think the answer provided in the post you referenced in your question for inline comments would be the same for create issue.  The issue is created and stored on the page just like the comment.  Since the content in the dynamic content macro is not stored in the page but is in an iFrame there would be no way to establish the issue on the page once it is created.
