Why am I unable to have similarly named pages in the same space?

Hi there,

We are considering using Confluence to manage our technical communication and documentation. It seems however that you are unable to create similarly named pages in the same space. This is highly problematic due to the structure of documents that we will be using. We do not want to use prefixes or suffixes to distinguise pages.

Please assist in how to solve this issue.

Regards

Hanlie

Hi Hanlie,

Apparently, it is not possible for users to create a page using duplicated title. There's an existing feature request filed in our system, and you may kindly refer to it for more details on this:
- Enable creation of same-named pages within a space

However, I am afraid that the resolution for the request was set to Won't Fix, hence at the moment it is not possible for us to create page using duplicated titles.

I hope that this helps to clarify the matter.
