Where is the markup?

I used to be able to press the Insert (+) button and select Markup but it's no longer an option.  Even if I type /markup it doesn't exist.  I can only use it if I find an existing page that used it and then make a copy of that page.  Why is that?

I can suggest our app: Markdown Extensions for Confluence as it offers extended markdown formatting, you can even use it to import from a repository of your choice.
