Confluence 3.5:
When I click on the Forgot my Password link from the login screen, the email I receive has two links:
You (or someone else) has requested to reset your password.
If you follow the link below you will be able to personally reset your password.
https://xxxxxxxxx/confluence/resetuserpassword.action?username=jhowe&token=7e283032605a8286920c3be324532beb15e6bbed <https://xxxxxxx/confluence/resetuserpassword.action?username=jhowe&token=7e283032605a8286920c3be324532beb15e6bbed>
The links are almost identical with the exception of the 'amp;' in the secon link.
Only the first link works. Why are there two links and how do we make them both work?
Not sure why you're getting 2 different links. Tested this on http://confluence.atlassian.com which is currently running on 4.2-rc1, and works fine. Try to double check and ensure your Application Server URL encoding is set correctly to UTF-8.
If you'd like to check and customise the source of the Forgot Password email, you can find and do so at:
You might want to refer to this page for reference on how to edit files within JAR archives. This would require a restart to get it picked up.
Thank you Husein, this is exactly what I needed to know.
