When I or any other team member attempts to rename a page, we get:
The page you were trying to reach could not be found. This could be because:
after saving the page with the new name.
This is despite having admin rights to Confluence, and all permissions on the space in question.
Even a page I created today seems to have the issue.
The URL goes from
But the latter page doesn't resolve. If I go back the original page is still there.
Have you checked the logs if you can...?
8 hrs... Big instance? I'm assuming it's server install/self hosted? Can you shutdown and increase the JVM parameters if of course you have the resources to do so? You might just be able to half that time if the JVM parameters were not touched at installation.
I would hope in a good way to see an error when it re-indexes so you can pinpointt the issue through the logs. Then you may have to re-build the indexes:
If you are in the Atlassian cloud then lets hope for the best... Atlassian will do the above if needed.
One issue that you can run into is when you start running low on disk space. If you have not turned off the auto backups, they will keep creating backups, filling up your disk. If you are on an instance (VM for example) with limited disk space, you can run into strange things happening as you hit the limit.
So if re-index doesn't fix the issue, check remaining disk space.
