When I edit group permissions in a Confluence space, the edits do not save after clicking Save All

I'm trying to edit the groups in the permissions in a confluence space. 

I removed the group, "confluence-users" from the project. I then added a new group. I tried editing each radio item to add the ability for the new group to 'Add Pages,' 'Add Blog,' 'Add Comments,' etc. After checking these off, I clicked, "Save All." I then went to a different tab and went back to the permissions page. The changes that I implemented did not save; it only saved the group's ability to 'View All.' 

How do I get the other options to save when I check them off?

By any chance does this new group have any space on it? If so, there's this bug where the workaround is to use Firefox or IE to save the changes: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-38103
