What is the difference between a default and a non default group ?

Hello,

Can you please tell me what is the difference between a default and a non default group ?

I created a specific group so that I can give access to some users only to a certain space and then thy system asked me if I want the group to be default or not.

Thank you !

Hi Iuliana,

If you mark a group as default, then new users in Confluence will automatically be added to that group.

If it is not default, then you can add users manually and use it for special permissions (outside of regular Confluence users).

I hope this helps!

Regards,
Shannon
