What Video Content Management System (VCMS) support does Atlassian confluence offer?

jmarka August 30, 2016

Does Atlassian offer any Video Content Management System (VCMS) features such as an HTML5 Video Gallery and HTML5 Video Player? We are looking for a way to better manage our videos in Confluence, we would like a "YouTube" look and feel. If Atlassian does not offer Video Content Management System (VCMS) features such as an HTML5 Video Gallery and HTML5 Video Player what 3rd-party products do you integrate with? Some products we are reviewing are Panopto, KZO, Brightcove and TechSmith Relay.

We would much prefer if Atlasssian offers something 1st party.

I am looking for the following:

  1. HTML5 Video Player
  2. HTML5 Video Gallery

or even have a look here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-30057

Does the Widget connector support any on-premise Video Content Management System (VCMS)?

Some examples of this are Panopto and TechSmith Relay.

Widget Connector Macro

https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/widget-connector-macro-171180449.html

The macro currently supports content from these sites:

  • YouTube
  • Vimeo
  • MySpace Video
  • Flickr
  • Twitter
  • Slide Rocket
  • Google Calendar

I only see externally hosted public sites and no on-premise Video Content Management System (VCMS)?

Any thoughts on integration of Panopto in Confluence?

Since Confluence doesn't offer a video gallery we are considering Panopto.
