WebDAV not showing most recent revision

JONATHAN BOHLMANN May 23, 2017

I have run into an issue with a user using WebDAVto upload files to Confluence so reaching out to our base to see if anyone has had issues like this previously and possible solutions.

The issue is a file is copied over to confluence either into the browser or via WebDAV(results are the same).  We can open the file in confluence in it shows the correct information (say this is version 5).  When we go in via WebDAV, we don’t get the most reacent version (say version 2 is what we see), it is as if it is frozen in time.  We can even make changes to this version (verion 2), check it in and when opening via WebDAVit is reverting back to the ‘old’ version we just had open.  But if we go into Confluence via the browser, we see the most recent version.

In addition it appears to only be happening on one system, the author of the file system.  Other users were able to, vie WebDAV, open the current version.

We think it might be a windows caching issue.  We did clear all windows and office cache (using ccleaner) but it had no affect.

Has anyone seen behavior like this?

This really sounds like a Confluence caching issue and not a windows one.  You should clear your Confluence cache.
