View pages as generic user

muxedup September 22, 2016

When creating pages with view permissions, it would be helpful to be able to test out these settings by viewing as a generic user with a customizable set of permissions. This way the user doesn't have to track down other users in different groups just to see if their page is visible.

Is there currently a way to do this? If not, it may be a handy feature to include in the future.

This does sound like it could be useful and I have not seen a way to do this myself yet.

I recommend that you first search here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-43964?jql=project%20%3D%20Confluence%20and%20issuetype%20%3D%20Suggestion to see if this Confluence Suggestion already exists, and if not, create it.
