Used size of page when publish

Jun Takaba June 1, 2021

Dear Support-team

There is a question about page size of Confluence when publish.

When the page is published, is the used capacity is the difference or whole (snapshot)?

Sincerely
Jun Takaba

Dear @Vero Rivas

Thank you for your reply.
I checked this page, but unfortunately, couldn't find answer of my question.

My question is as follows.

Case A) Page is saved by each page history
e.g.)
1.PageA publish : 1kB
2.User write on PageA (the size is now 3kB)
3.PageA publish : 3kB

-> Confluence uses 4kb(1kB on step1 and 3kB on step3)

Case B) The page saves only the diff
e.g.)
1.PageA publish : 1kB
2.User write on PageA (size is to 3kB)
3.PageA publish : 2kB (3kb - 1kb)

-> Confluence uses 3kb (1kB on step1 and 2kB on step3)

Which case does Confluence use for save page?

Best Regards,
Jun Takaba
