Unable to edit a confluence page

I have been given permission to edit a confluence page but the edit option is missing in the top right corner of the page so i am unable to edit the page. See attached image.Confluence issue.JPG

Hi @Antony Wekesa 

Welcome to Community! 

Confluence permissions sure can be weird. Reading that message there are two possibilities.

First have the Space Owner check if they have granted you permissions in the space to edit. In order to have page level permissions you need space level permissions first.

Second, have them check the EMI page above the one you are in and see if you have edit permissions there

I have checked and i have permissions in the space to edit and i have permission to edit the EMI page above the one i am in. So not sure why i am still unable to edit. 

Any one with ideas?
