I am trying to do a clean install of confluence over our older version. I have tried to uninstall following these instructions https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Uninstalling+Confluence+from+Linux
And then re-installed, but that just results in all the customizations we've made still come up.
I have also tried to drop the database and then recreate following these instructions to set up the new database
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Database+Setup+for+PostgreSQL
I then uninstalled confluence and reinstalled. When attempting to run it, the logs produce a lot of psql errors about tables not existing in the database. I am not fining anywhere that tells me to set up these tables and I would assume the confluence install would have done that beforehand or else the instructions would have told me otherwise.
Is there a different way to set confluence back to a vanilla version?
Hi Iris,
In order to have Confluence under a vanilla version, you just need to rename the home-directory of Confluence, that way Confluence will not find its home-directory and then start it from scratch.
I hope this helps.
