Unable to change field names in Confluence Database

I am attempting to setup a new database in Confluence. When creating a new field type there is no option to change the name of the field.

It seems to just self generate field names which use an incremental number as a differentiator.

I'm sure it's somewhere simple, but have tried everything

Found the answer. If you click on the field name in the table view, it will allow you to re-write the field name with your custom names
